The Biggest Little Game in America
One of America’s oldest sports traditions is a football game in Massachusetts called the Biggest Little Game in America.  Amherst and Williams have been facing off on the gridiron since 1884, making their game the longest running rivalry in sports.

Iditarod
The Iditarod dogsled race is 1,049 miles through the artic tundra of Alaska. The mushers will brave some of the most extreme conditions around with only their dogs to power them through the grueling, freezing, lonely two weeks of the race.

Badwater Marathon
The Badwater UltraMarathon is the world’s toughest foot race. At 135 miles long, the race starts at the lowest elevation in North America, Badwater Basin, and ends at Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the continental US. That means it runs through Death Valley, the hottest place in the world, during July. There is no more extreme test of human endurance anywhere.

UltraMarathonman
Dean Karnazes may be the most physically impressive endurance athlete ever. He ran 50 marathons in all 50 states in 50 consecutive days. He ran across the United States – 3000 miles in only 70 days. He knocks out regular marathons as a warmup. He’s run races in 120 degree heat and -40 degree cold. He’s run, and won, countless races, each hundreds of miles long.

Breaking the Land Speed Record
Danny’s father Mickey Thompson was a racing legend. He was famous for building and racing indy cars and hot rods. Mickey’s ultimate dream was to break the land speed record, but at the age of 60 tragedy struck when he was murdered. We follow Danny as he prepares the Challenger II to go back to Utah for one more attempt to go faster in a car than anyone has ever gone – and honor the dreams of his father.
